  3. How do you usually spend your evenings?
  4. What do you normally do after work or classes?
  5. Do you prefer staying at home in the evening or going out?
  6. Did you have more free time when you were younger?
  7. Is there any new leisure activity you would like to try?
  8. Who do you usually spend your free time with?
  9. Do you prefer active or relaxing leisure activities?
  10. Do you think you spend too much time on your phone during your free time?

Examiner: Now, let's talk about holidays.

  1. How do people in your country usually spend their holidays?
  2. Do you like travelling during your holidays?
  3. What was your most recent holiday like?
  4. Do you prefer short holidays or long holidays?
  5. Is there a place you would particularly like to visit on holiday?

  6. Part 2 — Cue Card

    Describe a leisure activity that you enjoy doing in your free time.

    You should say:

    • what the activity is
    • when and where you usually do it
    • who you do it with
    • how often you do it

    and explain why you enjoy this activity.

    5. What are the advantages of having plenty of leisure time?
    6. Can having too much free time have disadvantages?

    9. Do young and elderly people spend their leisure time differently?
    10. Why are outdoor activities particularly important for children?
    11. If you had a child, what leisure places would you take them to?
    12. Should governments provide more parks and recreational facilities?
    13. Why do some people prefer travelling during holidays while others prefer staying at home?
    14. Do you think international travel will become more popular in the future?
